Los Altos, CA.Technesis is proud to release Technesis Print Control System v6.0, the latest release of our flagship print management solution with support for ALL Windows operating systems and architectures, including Windows 2000, XP, 2003, Vista, 7 & 2008 on both 32-bit and 64-bit systems. Additional features include Unique printer identification which will uniquely identify printers by mac address, model and manufacturer. The same feature will also display the current lifetime meter of the device. Automated reporting - Setup Technesis to deliver you your reports automatically, every day, week, month or otherwise. Batch plotting and billing - Fill out only 1 billing dialog box for your entire set of documents to plot. Technesis does the rest of the billing automatically to that project. Multiple rate schedules - You bill different clients at different rates. So now, you can apply the different rates to their plotting. Simply set up the rates once and Technesis does the costing automatically.

Technesis Print Control System v6.0 synchronizes with Windows Active Directory so that print assessments are reported by and rules based messages are implemented by Active Directory groups. Print assessments - Setup and managed from one location, and deployed globally. Technesis software passively records printing from network print queues, remote network printers, along with LPT1, COM and USB printers. The resulting statistics are grouped by Windows Active Directory groups such as OU, office, location, or department, and automatically distributed via Technesis? reporting engine. Technesis reports tell decision makers the number of print jobs, color pages, monochrome pages printed to each device, by each user, for each workgroup. These print assessments are critical for any equipment reallocation or print rightsizing initiatives.

Rules based printing - Create messages to end users based on their Windows Active Directory group membership, advising them of more cost effective print options for their print jobs. The messages pop up on the user?s workstations and are tailored to that individual based on the print job characteristics, such as color, number of pages, printer type or printer name.

Cost Accounting - Assign custom billing popup and charge codes based on Windows Directory group membership. The results for end users are faster and more accurate billing for their reimbursable documents
